Christmas Black & White Wednesday - Week # 63
My new decoration for this Christmas,
as the ones we sold for charity in Milan a few weeks ago,
pretty gift for special friends,
especially when made with champagne corks we enjoyed together,
for better stability and more precise work.
Nice and unusual placeholder or centerpiece on the festive table.
Transparent liquid glue will be ideal
(hot glue makes too much thickness and could be visible),
then free space to your imagination for any decoration,
using all sort of ribbons, laces and 'Xmas fancy goods
(berries, stars, apples, gnomes)
recycled from other gifts as I usually do
(just a quick iron press and they'll be new!).
Or you can simply color in red and green some corks' round ends.
The pedestal can vary from a piece of wood or branch
to a pine cone or some cinnamon sticks,
depending on the size of your tree.
A final layer of transparent satin varnish will complete your work.
My next ones will be more fragrant and aromatic,
going to use all spices my pantry is plenty of:
cinnamon, gloves, cardamom, nutmeg, star anise,
jumiper berries, dried chillies,
and the most decorative beans I can find.
Going to decorate together?
