Black & White Wednesday # 82
Alex of Food4Thoughtis hosting this week BWW,
please do send your entries to food4thought AT hotmail DOT it
Next week and for the following three
I will be hosting The Culinary ABC of the European Community,
and my country will be Hungary.
A dear friend of mine is Hungarian,
and yesterday I spent a lovely afternoon at her mother's home,
looking for recipes and suggestions in this old cookbook, dated 1956,
still the master nowdays for popular and typical cuisine.
I was so ecstatic looking at aged Agnese's hands,
carefully reading through the consumed book
to give me the best tips for the best result,
could breath so many imaginary aromas and fragrances
of long years spent in the kitchen.
carefully reading through the consumed book
to give me the best tips for the best result,
could breath so many imaginary aromas and fragrances
of long years spent in the kitchen.
And more, so many flying papers with hand-written recipes
jealously guarded among the pages of the book.
Food is love,
and you can feel it even from the pages of an old book.
