Ingredienti:
2 cipolle bianche o dorate tagliate a fettine
2 mango a fettine
2 cucchiai di zucchero di canna
2 cucchiai di aceto
un cucchiaio di curry
50 g di burro
olio extavergine di oliva
timo fresco
Mango and Onions Chutney
I love reading quick and easy recipes on magazines, they make me willing to try immediately.
This chutney is one of those, I prevously tested using apples instead of mango (... I felt more rustic and patriotic ...), but honestly I really would not know which one to choose between the two! It marries well with meat and cheese. I have not tried yet but I think it could be preserved in jars, covered with oil and pasteurized: it could be a great gourmet gift idea!

Lovely idea Ci, gift like this is always much appreciated. It's homemade, and nothing beat the taste of it.

Haalo, thank you!
Baci mangosi!
I made my very first chutney just the other day (cranberry apple) and I am hooked. Mangoes are my favorite fruit so this would definitely be perfect for me. I bet it would be great with some roast pork!
Joanne, sounds good your chutney too!
It's pork filet in the picture, you've won your bet!
Have a nice Sunday!
