Celebrating Mother's Day - Tiramisù

The rose is red, the violet blue,
The gillyflower sweet, and so are you.
These are the words you taught me to say.
So give me a kiss on Mother's Day!

Today is Mother's Day in Italy.
I bet everybody is celebrating his/her Mom in a very special way, even just with a little thought.
One of the dishes we made often together was "Tiramisù", easy, fast, always a success, no worry about baking, might be prepared in advance, soft, creamy, yummieeeeeee!
And I still do it in the same way!

You just need:

- a box of Pavesini (lighter and thinner than Savoiardi),
- cold coffee, Nescafé is ok
- mascarpone cream.

Tiramisù is made of different repeating layers of buiscuits wet in coffe and cream. At last you can sprinkle with cocoa powder or grated dark chocolate. Keep in the fridge for at least half a day before serving. Single glasses are perfect for that!
You can flavour coffee with some Amaretto liqueur, and spread some chocolate drops or Amaretti crumbles in the layers.
When tiramisù is made with fruit, and you would like a lighter version, you can use half mascarpone and half ricotta for the cream.

Lucky me and my Mom! ...while I was taking pictures of Tramisù, a ladybird came out from the rose ( a lovely Clair Matin)and I had just the time to get one shot: isn't she lovely?

This recipe goes to Ivy for her "Celebrating Mother's Day" event:

Round up Celebrating Mother's Day
